With this mission in mind, Voss Equipment was established in the Chicago area in 1940, and we have been serving the material handling needs of Chicagoland for nearly 60 years. Peter Voss Sr., our founder, served as our president until 1980. At that time, Peter Voss Jr. assumed the presidency and has been in the position ever since. He joined the company in 1961 after college and 3 years of service as a United States Marine Corp. officer. Then in 1990, Peter Voss III completed 3 years of service in the United States Marine Corps and joined the company as an Account Manager. After working in a number of different positions Peter Voss III assumed the role of President in 2005. This has truly been a family owned company for over 80 years.
